Nature of Berelot products

Berelot offers a mixed collection of decorative lighting. Depending on the individual listing, a product may be an original antique or vintage piece, a restored original piece, a newly manufactured reproduction or vintage-style piece, or a newly made / custom product.

The status that applies to a particular product is stated on the individual product page wherever applicable. Customers should rely on the product-specific description, photographs, measurements and condition information when assessing a piece.

A product described as a reproduction, vintage-style, antique-style, period-inspired or similar wording is newly manufactured and is not represented as an original period piece. A product described as original antique or vintage is represented as a period piece based on the information reasonably available to Berelot at the time of listing.

Product information, condition and restoration

We aim to present product photographs, descriptions, dimensions, materials, finishes, condition and availability accurately. Photographs form an important part of the product description.

Original and restored pieces may show patina, surface variation, signs of age, previous use, repairs or replacement components. Where known and material to the purchase, restoration, rewiring, refinishing or replacement components are described on the product page. Complete historic restoration records may not always be available for older pieces.

Newly manufactured and reproduction pieces may show minor variations in finish, colour, surface appearance or dimensions arising from manufacturing, hand finishing, photography, lighting or screen display.

Where there is any inconsistency between general website wording and an individual product listing, the product-specific description and disclosed condition of that item should be used to understand what is being offered.

Orders and acceptance

Submission of an order does not prevent Berelot from reviewing the order for product availability, pricing error, shipping eligibility, fraud prevention or other legitimate operational reasons.

Prices and payments

The price and currency shown at checkout at the time an order is placed govern that transaction, subject to correction of an obvious pricing or technical error where permitted by law.

Payments may be processed by approved third-party payment service providers. Customers authorise the sharing of transaction and customer information reasonably required to process, verify, secure, refund or support the payment.

Customer accounts

Customers may create a Berelot account to manage orders, addresses and account information. Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for providing accurate information.

Promotional offers

Promotional codes, welcome offers and other incentives are subject to the terms stated with the offer. Unless otherwise stated, a code may be limited by customer, account, email, product, period or number of uses and may not be exchangeable for cash.

Shipping, cancellations, returns and refunds

Eligible standard products may be returned in accordance with the Berelot Returns & Refunds Policy. Where a product arrives safely and materially as described and is returned because the customer has changed their mind, the customer is responsible for return shipping and a 15% restocking charge is deducted from the refundable product amount.

The restocking charge does not apply to an approved transit damage claim, a materially incorrect item, or where applicable law requires a different remedy.

Custom and trade orders

Custom-made, bespoke and specially modified items may involve separate specifications, quotations, production schedules and payment terms agreed in writing.

Once production of a custom-made order has begun, the order cannot be cancelled for change of mind and is non-returnable for change of mind.

Website use

Customers must not misuse the Berelot website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with site security, submit fraudulent orders or use the website for unlawful activity.

Intellectual property

Berelot website content, branding, photographs, text, graphics and design elements are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. No licence to reproduce or use them commercially is granted unless expressly authorised.

Applicable law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by applicable laws of India. Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude customer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
